24.08.2020 > 25.09.2020 | EXHIBITION"CUT & PASTE" / Fórum de Arte e Cultura de Espinho, Portugal
Collage techniques were never far apart from the art world. Collage is mostly seen as a technique for a two-dimensional visual art form, yet, in its core, collage derives from the French word "coller" and means to "stick together" several parts. This can be an art form by itself or part of a mixed media project.
Collage can also be found in music or sculpture and sometimes can be seen under similar art forms such as pastiche or assemblage and can also be achieved by analog or digital means or both.
It is therefore with this exhibition and with this mindset that we invite you to question collage as a means for the artistic creation.
In addition to unpublished pieces, this exhibition will present for the first time several artist books by the author in their entirety, totaling more than 300 works.
